The automatic press with piston speed control and process visualisation is used for research and teaching purposes related to powder sintering under various strictly controlled conditions (vacuum, protective atmosphere, temperature, pressure, magnetic field). The measurement and recording of these conditions ensures full repeatability of processes, and the automation of work cycles enables comfortable operation of the device.
An innovative feature of this press is the possibility of installing devices for generating strong magnetic induction in the sample. The magnetic conductors are connected to the anvils.
Automatic press
The entire process is managed by an industrial controller. Additionally, an industrial computer with an operator panel is installed in the control cabinet, serving only for visualizing the process flow (viewing variables, video preview, recording) and for setting parameters (process parameters, controlling virtual buttons). The system allows for the registration of the main parameters occurring during the process and displays them in the form of graphs. The system is equipped with a software-controlled timing circuit that allows for the shutdown of a given process after a specified time interval.
