European Union standards, e.g. PN EN 12155, PN EN12179, PN EN 13050, American standards, e.g. ASTM 331-00, or British CWCT standards require tests involving continuous spraying of the sample with water at a strictly defined flow rate.

The apparatus designed by ELBIT enables testing in accordance with all of these standards.

Functionally, the apparatus consists of a buffer station used to store water before testing and to generate the appropriate pressure during testing.

In addition, the station is equipped with a flow meter for the sample being tested.

The entire system is fully automated and maintenance-free, and the individual functions of the station are controlled by a computer.

Four types of spray frames with interchangeable nozzles have been designed for the spray system.

These are the internal frames of 4x10m and 6x10m, and two external frames of 6x14m. The interchangeable nozzles allow for flow adjustments according to standard requirements.

Each nozzle is equipped with a valve to adjust the spray area to the dimensions of the sample being tested.
