The experimental research station with a SOFC fuel cell is used to determine the relationships in an innovative hydrogen generator and to determine the optimal settings to maximise the amount of electricity generated.

The measured values are read on a graphic LCD display, which is also a touch screen. 

The screen shows the block elements of the station along with the measured values and control parameters. These are:

T1 – temperature behind the first heater of the hydrogen generator;

T3 – temperature behind the second heater of the hydrogen generator;

T2 – SOFC cell temperature (note – the manufacturer did not provide for temperature measurement inside the cell, therefore only external measurement is possible. The difference between the indicated temperature and the actual temperature during heating is approximately 100◦C);

Wyst1 – hydrogen generator controller control (max. value is 250);

T1z – set temperature for both hydrogen generator heaters.

Wyst2 – SOFC controller control (max. value is 250);

T2z – SOFC setpoint temperature (gradient in degrees C after the division sign).

Vp – measured fuel flow in ml/min;

I1 – total current of both hydrogen generator heaters;

U1 – supply voltage of hydrogen generator heaters;

I2 – SOFC heater current;

U2 – SOFC heater supply voltage;

I3 – current generated by SOFC;

U3 – voltage generated by SOFC;
