The system can operate autonomously or in conjunction with dedicated software, which significantly enhances its testing capabilities.

The control software enables:

- real-time calculation of characteristic values;

- adjustment (via a connected computer) of test parameters;

- real-time plotting of relevant graphs;

- easy archiving of measurement data and its export to an ASCII file or Excel spreadsheet.

This teaching setup is designed for investigating liquid flow
in pipework systems under conditions of controlled flow disturbances.
The setup enables the conduct of laboratory sessions and educational experiments relating to the analysis of accuracy, operational limitations and the principles for selecting various types of flowmetres, including electromagnetic and rotametric flowmetres, as well as an indirect measurement method utilising a triangular weir with liquid level measurement, operating under variable hydrodynamic  
and thermodynamic conditions.

Flow measurement station

The setup allows for the simulation and analysis of the impact of disturbing factors on liquid flow measurement, in particular:

  • changes in the medium temperature,
  • changes in flow characteristics (steady/pulsating),
  • the presence of a gas phase in the liquid,
  • changes in the geometry of the piping installation in the area of the electromagnetic flowmeter connection,
  • comparison of flow measurements using indirect and direct methods,
  • analysis of pressure losses at selected measurement elements.

The setup allows for the registration, visualization, and archiving of measurement data.
