The device is used to perform programmable thermal cycles (heating/cooling) in a protective atmosphere or vacuum for a load capacity of approximately 0.5m3. The furnace is constructed as a sealed chamber in the shape of a cylinder with a diameter of approximately 0.5 metres and a height of approximately 0.6 metres. There is a door at the top of the chamber for inserting material. Two heating sections are built into the chamber. The temperature of the load is strictly controlled by three temperature sensors. The entire process is managed by an industrial controller.
