A laboratory stand for observing and testing the process of separating the solid phase from the gas in a cyclone. The stand allows for visual observation of the dust removal process occurring inside the cyclone – the lower part of the cyclone is made of a transparent material.

The workstation is equipped with a side channel fan that forces gas flow through a cyclone (the flow occurs without pulsations) and allows for flow rate adjustment within wide limits.

The station is equipped with sensors for measuring volumetric flow rate, air temperature, and pressure drop of gas during its flow through the cyclone. The gas inlet and outlet of the station are secured with appropriate filters.

The workstation features a designed dispenser along with a tank for about 10kg of material. This dispenser allows for easy introduction of solid particles into the gas stream, maintaining a constant concentration of solid in the gas during measurement. The dispenser is mounted on a load cell (two strain gauge sensors) to determine the quantity and rate of adding solid material to the gas.

An electronic scale is included with the workstation to determine the mass of particles released in the cyclone.
