Device data sheet in PDF format
At Elbit, a prototype integrated metabolism analyzer has been developed. The device operates by generating a forced airflow in the measurement chambers using a specially designed pump with remotely adjustable output, and analyzing the gas composition. The method for determining metabolism is well-established and involves measuring the percentage composition of the oxygen and carbon dioxide mixture, followed by appropriate calculations. The peristaltic pump, controlled by the software, draws small samples of the atmosphere from the connected chambers through a set of solenoid valves, and this sample is continuously analyzed as it passes through various sensors. The flow, temperature, carbon dioxide content, and oxygen content are sequentially determined. The sample then returns to the chamber from which it was taken. All measurements are displayed on the device's LCD screen. The accompanying software records incoming data and displays it on the computer screen.
The CH02 program allows for independent configuration and programming of tests for each of the connected chambers. This program also enables control of the biochemical analyzer (measuring oxygen, carbon dioxide, flow, and temperature) which can be integrated into the system. An additional feature of the program is the creation of aggregate statistics from selected measurements. The program also allows for the export of each measurement to a Word file.
