ELBIT has modernised the thermal cycle simulator manufactured in Gliwice.

The station enables controlled heating of samples with a cross-section of 10x10x100mm as a result of 50Hz alternating current flowing through the sample, as well as controlled cooling of the samples.

The modernisation consisted in the construction of an electronic control and recording attachment replacing the PGF (program function generator) and RUN (drive system with motor and tachogenerator) blocks, and in the development of a computer program that can be used to set the shape of the thermal cycle curve and which records the incoming temperature readings. Communication takes place via a serial cable (USB). The programme allows detailed reports of the measured thermal cycles to be stored and printed. The entire measurement process is fully automated. The status of the process is displayed on a computer monitor in real time. The device has a self-test function, which allows for a general check of the device's condition and the accuracy of measurements. The programme includes a database of waveforms for various types of sapws.

The station can be used to simulate both simple and complex cycles.
