The station is used to test windows and doors for hurricane resistance. Standards: EN ASTM E1886-05 and TAS.

The station consists of two separate launchers/guns for light and heavy projectiles mounted on a scissor lift, as well as control and measurement systems.

The station can be used as a stand-alone device or connected to a computer via an RS485/USB link as a remote device.

Both cannons operate on the principle of ejecting the projectile using compressed air stored in a buffer tank. The muzzle velocity of the projectiles depends non-linearly on the pressure to which the tank is charged. One mounted tank serves both cannons.
