A teaching station used to familiarize students with the phenomena occurring during the pumping of liquids using single and multiple centrifugal pumps connected in series (increasing the system's lifting height) or in parallel (increasing the system's efficiency).

The student will take measurements of the performance characteristics of a single pump or a pump system under variable load conditions of the pipeline (changes in flow resistance of the installation downstream of the pumps).

The setup is equipped with two centrifugal pumps and one positive displacement pump.

Other possible exercises include:

- measuring the power characteristics consumed by the pump as a function of variable load;

- determining the efficiency of the pump or pump system;

- determining the flow characteristics as a function of control (speed) for the installed types of pumps.
