Elbit has developed components for configuring a radio system for monitoring and controlling microclimate and exposure conditions. The systems that can be built with their help are very flexible. Their architecture is closely tailored to customer requirements, and they can be easily reconfigured or expanded in the future. These are systems for recording climatic conditions (temperature, humidity, lighting and UV radiation) as well as systems for regulating the above.
In building the system, we use, among others:
Environmental condition sensor MO1: the sensor has radio transmission on the 433MHz band for measured parameters and measurement repetition times from 1 minute to 1 hour. It is most often powered by batteries. Its small dimensions and aesthetic housing allow it to be placed in a visible location. Depending on the design, it can measure temperature, humidity, visible light, ultraviolet light in various sub-ranges, or almost any combination of the above values.
433MHz radio modem MO1: it is used for archiving (large internal memory) and transmitting data packets wirelessly over short distances (up to two kilometers). Its large housing and independent power supply allow for the inclusion of additional electronic modules such as an RS232/Ethernet converter or a universal controller module.
RS232/Ethernet converter: it is a device that enables communication via an Ethernet network with any device equipped with an RS232 serial interface. Its main application is to mediate data transmission in monitoring and control systems, remote control systems, and data acquisition systems. Communication occurs via UDP or TCP/IP packets.
Universal controller CZU3R: The CU3R controller is designed for automatic regulation of any medium in rooms, and with appropriate protection, also outside buildings. The controller has a universal measurement input to which any thermocouple, platinum sensor PT100 or PT500, voltage signal 0-10V or current signal 4-20mA can be connected. The type of input is determined during the manufacturing process. The controller has two outputs: analog (0-20mA or 0-10V) and binary (transistor). The set value for the regulation process is entered via buttons on the controller housing or through a digital modbus network. The controller has its own LCD display, on which measured and controlled values can be observed.
In building the system, we also utilize many other devices of our production, such as voltage, current, temperature sensors, binary, dew point sensors, and input modules.
Below we present example configurations of measurement and control networks. However, it should be noted that each network is individually designed for a specific application.
