The induction and synchronous motor testing stations are used to familiarise students with the design and operation of these motors.

Each station consists of a drive unit with a real motor, a panel with actuators and measuring devices, and a computer with data recording software.
 

The drive system of the first station has a direct current motor acting as a controllable load on a common shaft with the induction motor.

The drive system of the second station has a direct current motor serving as a drive on a common shaft with the synchronous motor.

The activation of individual actuators (contactors, relays) can occur in basic (manual) mode by switching the built-in switches on the panel, using a touchscreen, or remotely from a computer application.

In automatic mode, the control of the actuators is taken over by the controller software.

All operational parameters of the motors such as voltage, current, power, power factor, speed,

and torque are measured and transmitted to a dedicated application,

on the computer where they can be saved as an Excel file.
