The station is used to test thermostatic valves and determine their operating point under various conditions.

The station consists of two independent air chambers in which individual parameters such as static pressure, differential pressure across the valve, temperature and flow are measured, set and recorded. Changing these four parameters allows any valve characteristics to be plotted and parameters such as the effect of water temperature or closing time to be tested.

The entire process is automated and performed under the supervision of a computer programme, which records the test and generates a test card.

Most standard waveforms are defined in the programme in accordance with the PN EN 215 standard.

Each element of the test bench, i.e. the mechanical part, water, pneumatic and electrical installations, and software, has been developed by Elbit.
