The device for simulating accelerated ageing of pre-insulated pipes consists of two sizes of pipe heaters, which are placed in the pre-insulated pipe under test. The temperature of the heaters is strictly controlled by multi-section PID controllers. The increased temperature inside the pipe causes an increase in ageing effects.
