The special-purpose plate press is mainly used for research related to the development of new materials. The device allows pressing with a force of up to 550 kN at a stamp temperature of up to 300 °C. The press is equipped with a double-acting actuator. The entire process is managed by an industrial controller. The system is also equipped with a software-based timing system that allows a given process to be switched off after a specified time interval.

The control unit is made in the form of a metal cabinet with an IP32 rating. Inside, there is a hydraulic power supply along with all solenoid valves and electronic circuits. All buttons and indicators for proper device control are located on the front panel. At the top of the cabinet, there is a glycerin manometer indicating the hydraulic pressure inside the system. In the lower part of the cabinet, there are inspection windows for observing the level of hydraulic oil and the degree of contamination of the solid particle filter.
