The stand allows students to become familiar with hydrodynamic phenomena occurring in flow installations equipped with retention tanks during variable liquid supply conditions – experimental simulation of the operation of drainage installations and storm sewers.
Position for studying the dynamics of unsteady processes during liquid flow in retention tanks
The essence of the study is to observe changes in the filling of retention reservoirs and the filling of flow channels under conditions of dynamic changes in liquid flow intensity. It will enable simulations of sudden rainfall situations, flow in open channels (channels not completely filled), and channels under conditions of liquid backflow (flooding of stormwater channels), etc.
The setup is equipped with a centrifugal pump with adjustable flow rate.
