The stand is used to conduct experiments and research related to sowing units in various configurations.

The device consists of three independent drive systems (servo drives) made with direct current motors along with encoders used to count the number of rotations. Each drive has a different output gear ratio calculated to ensure the proper operation of the device. Three independent seed counters are attached to the seed tube and the furrow opener. Signals from them are sent to a controller located in a separate housing. This controller continuously determines the drive systems' control based on the set values and counts the passing seeds, simultaneously determining the time of passage with an accuracy of 1 ms. The controller is also equipped with an interface for connecting an XY photoelectric cell matrix system to determine the position of seeds exiting the furrow opener. The matrix itself is not part of the device and is intended as an option. The controller is connected to a master laptop computer via a USB cable, where incoming information and the quantities of sown seeds are analyzed. Parameters for the seed drill are also set from the computer.
